Ingredients
½ cup kosher salt
½ cup fresh ground black pepper
¼ cup granulated garlic
2 tablespoons onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme

Step 1
This is optional, but I always roast whole peppercorns on medium heat using a dry pan for a few minutes until they release their natural oils. Then, I pulverize them in a herb grinder or mortar and pestle. Flavor-wise, it makes a world of difference.
